Allegro BIS3 Eindhoven '08
dog
Portugal
Lisbon, Portugal
July 2008

This summer we spent 3 splendid days in sunny Portugal.
We came with three dogs
(Weimaraner Allegro, German Shorthaired Pointer Milly & Whippet Jen)
to the two most prestige dog shows in Portugal:
Lisboa Winner & Mediterranean Winner '08!
And it was worth such a long trip -
we ended up with 8 titles, and came home with two Portugese champions: Allegro & Jen!

The day after the show, we took some sightseeing on our own.
Lisbon is a splendid city. We really enjoyed the architectural & monumental beauties.
Portugal associates me a lot about Brazil, because of some similar points that match Brazilian culture (especially in architecture, arts and people). We went to a portugese restaurant and tasted some portugese specialties! The food was delicious!
What a trip!
As pictures can say more than thousand words,
I’d rather share with you some photos…
Take a look and enjoy…

This waves remind me a lot on original path from Copacabana beach in Rio...

This is the only thing I didn't like about Lisbon...

Lovely coloured houses...

Typicall ornament on lots of old houses...

Palms everywhere...

Some shots from the show...
Handling a top whippet for the first time in such exotic country was an unforgettable experience.

Best Of Breed and Best Of Opposite Sex, with breed specialist, judge Louis Catalan.

Winning the Best In Group 3rd

GSP Milly, awoke interest by a lot of Portugese visitors...

What a movement, what a pleasure to show Milly!

We met some friends...

And some lovely dogs of our friends...

This Saluki was breathtaking.
He is a World Winner '08 and was our favourite for BIS...
Very nice presented by his owner and handler...

But this time, just one look at this - dragged us away, far away from the show...

To portugese beaches...

I loved this monument!!! Very impressive!

And than again to the center of Lisbon...

The most beutiful street in Lisbon...

Good food...

Lovely ornament on the ground...

Decoration of one house...

Beautiful hystoric square...

Ok, one turistic photo was necessary...

Two boys that I love...

This was breathtaking...

I loved this theatre!

The name is also not bad...

And than, at the end of our tour, tottaly exsausted we found this beautiful place...

Ok, ok - he found it! And he said: "I wanna rest here!"

Good choice, Allegro!

Really a good choice...

Settling down lazy...

So lazy they were...

Milly thinking about the future...

Allegro playing dead...

And Jen opsessed with Edwin!

I was jelous! Oh, yes, and how!

And then, we went to the airport... and after 3 hours trip,
arrived safely to rainy Belgium!
Gosh, why didn't we stay there, in sunny Portugal?!
